Having studied Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Arts and worked for a jewelry design studio in the UK, Mika Uehara is currently based in Tokyo, working on her own collections of jewelry. She takes inspirations from historical architectures, their interior and the organic forms that fascinate her in nature - translating them into her jewelry design, working with great care and intricacy - striving to capture the sculptural beauty. She hopes her jewelry will bring a little warmth and a pinch of spice into the lives of those who wear it.
